The brief

A civil engineer needed to know what was buried beneath the site before construction began, to design around existing services and reduce the risk of strikes.

How we surveyed it

We carried out the survey to PAS 128, using electromagnetic locators to trace metallic services and ground penetrating radar to pick up what they cannot. The results were positioned with GNSS and drawn up in CAD.

Site challenges

This is a sensitive site and remained operational throughout. We worked with care around graves, kept clear of services and ceremonies, and planned each visit with the site team.

What the client received

DWG and PDF drawings showing the located services, ready to use in design.
