The brief

A contractor needed to know whether the floors in hundreds of flats met the flatness standard set for the job, and where any remedial work would be needed.

How we surveyed it

We levelled each flat with a digital level, recording heights on a consistent grid so that every unit could be compared on the same basis. Readings were processed into level drawings and a schedule highlighting any areas outside tolerance.

Site challenges

The flats were still being worked on, so access had to be arranged around live trades. We sequenced the survey floor by floor with the site team to avoid holding up other work.

What the client received

PDF level drawings for each flat, with a schedule summarising the results across the development.
