3 Simple Steps To Your Land Survey and Drawing
Key Benefits of a Land Survey
What is a Land Survey?
A land survey (also known as a topographical land survey) is a detailed geomatic survey of an area of land.
The survey is usually picks up both man-made and natural elements. Human-made items may include buildings, steps/stairs, drainage, areas of hard standing, etc. Natural elements include ground heights, tree locations, watercourses, etc.
Our surveys are typically undertaken using a range of top-quality surveying equipment including total stations, GPS equipment, handheld lasers, and tape measures.
Following the site survey work, our surveyors produce a suite of drawings using CAD (Computer Aided Design) format. We offer a range of drawing types including plans, elevations, and sections. These can then be used as a basis for your proposed designs.

What Do Land Surveys Cost?
How long is a piece of string? The price of a land survey really depends on the size and complexity of your property. Factors that will increase or decrease land survey costs include: the survey area, the detail you require and the quality of the companies undertaking the survey.
Typically, most surveying companies charge between £300 and £1000 for a day’s on-site work. Following site work, office time is required to draw up the survey. A day’s drawing in the office may be charged at anywhere from £200 to £500 a day (don’t forget to factor VAT into your estimations!).
