FLOOD RISK TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEY SERVICE
We assist clients with their floor risk applications by providing accurate survey data and drawings to national co-ordinates in plan and height.
Supporting Your Flood Risk Assessment
It is common for flood risk assessments to require an accompanying level survey to demonstrate the contours of the site. Flood risk assessments are generally carried out by specialist companies and comprise of an organised report outlining the issues and design considerations required for a plot of land.
Any site in a flood zone 2 or 3 is obliged to have one to supplement planning applications and a decision may rely upon the assessment together with a good quality topographical plan. Please note THS Concepts does not offer flood risk assessment reports, but you can learn more about flood risk assessment reports here.
A topographical plan for a flood risk zone consists of a site visit and survey using a Total Station. The information obtained during the survey is then extracted and presented using CAD software in the form of a site plan. Whilst not as thorough as a conventional topographical plan, the key information regarding boundary positions, ground levels, tree locations and building perimeters are shown. If you require a full topographical survey or the gathering of specific data, this will not be a problem.
Accurate, Clear Drawings
Our diverse experience of site surveys and high standards professionalism result in clear, comprehensive and accurate drawings. We can cater any job to your necessities and will also coordinate with other construction professionals to facilitate efficiency. Your AutoCAD drawings will be easy to update and work with. Over the years we have refined our template with features including a simple layering system, appropriate line weights and thicknesses and useful CAD blocks which are clear and easy to read.
Trust Our Measurements
All of our flood risk site surveys are carried out using Leica total stations and GPS equipment, ensuring the position, orientation and elevation relate to Ordnance Datum and the Ordnance Survey National Grid.
